PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an engine, in which a low speed torque can be greatly increased and oil mist may not remain in the inside of a surge tank without increasing the number of part items. SOLUTION: The inlet 3a of a plurality of branch passages 3 connected to the surge tank 2 of an intake manifold 1 is positioned upper than the bottom part 2a of the surge tank 2. A drain passage 8 communicated with the surge tank 2 and the branch passage 3 is arranged in a part located in the bottom part 2a of the surge tank 2 and just under a blowby gas G introducing opening 5. Thereby, oil mist in blowby gas G in the inside of the surge tank 2 goes down from the drain passage 8 to the branch passage 3 and burnt without remaining in the inside of the surge tank 2.
