PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair cosmetic having improved set retaining power for hair and improved touch, useful for a hair setting agent, a styling agent, a hair dressing agent, etc., by making the cosmetic include a specific cationic resin and a phospholipid, etc. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic comprises (A) one or more cationic resins obtained by copolymerizing 50-90 wt.% of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer of formula I (R1 is H or the like; R2 is a 1-4C alkylene; R3 and R4 are each a 1-4C alkyl; X is O or the like) with 10-50 wt.% of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer of formula II (R5 is H or the like; R6 is a 12-24C alkyl) and 0-25 wt.% of another polymerizable monomer copolymerizable with these monomers to give a copolymer and modifying the copolymer with a cationizing agent of the formula: YE (Y is bromine or the like; E is a 1-12C alkyl or the like) and (B) one or more kinds selected from a phospholipid, a protein, a protein hydrolyzate and their derivatives in the ratio of 0.1-50.0 wt.% calculated as dried solid content of the component A and 0.001-5.0 wt.% of the component B.
