PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the safety of passengers by passing through the nearest earthquake non-stop floor and stopping on any other floor than the earthquake non-stop floor when an elevator can stop within a prescribed period without stopping on the prescribed earthquake non-stop floor. SOLUTION: When a seismic detector C4 operates, a signal is inputted into the operation controller C1 for an elevator, and inputted into an elevator synchronous position detector C2 to compute the synchronous position of the present elevator, and the an elevator main motor C3 is controlled to start and stop the elevator. The following operation is carried out; this apparatus first discriminates whether or not the seismic detector operates, then discriminates whether or not the elevator is traveling. During traveling, the elevator stops on the nearest floor. On the other hand, during stopping, its door is closed, and operation stops. During traveling, the elevator stops on any floor other than the earthquake non-stop floor, the automatic door is closed, and operation stops. By setting the floor to which flame concentrates, such as a kitchen as the earthquake non-stop floor, it is possible to protect passengers in the elevator from a secondary disaster such as fire. |
