PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater excavator capable of ejecting jet water and an underwater excavator capable of ejecting jet air which each are capable of excavating a seabed and a bottom of the water uniformly and in a wide range, capable of efficiently carrying out excavation work and dredging work, and manufactured at low costs. SOLUTION: A jet water ejecting mechanism 15 comprises a jet water generating section 25 for sucking water around and generating jet water, and jet water forced feeding pipes 31, 33. The jet water ejecting mechanism 15, further comprises a flexible jet water ejecting hose 36 connected to a hose connecting portion 35 of the jet water forced feeding pipe 33, and a jet water ejecting nozzle 37 connected to a free end of the jet water ejecting hose 36. There is also provided a jet air ejecting mechanism comprising a jet air generating section for sucking air around and generating jet air, and jet air forced feeding pipes. The jet air ejecting mechanism comprises further a flexible jet air ejecting hose connected to a hose connecting portion 35 of the jet air pressure feeding pipe, and a jet air ejecting nozzle connected to a free end of the jet air ejecting hose.
