PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding gun assembly capable of welding without depending on outside facilities and without cooling water circulation. SOLUTION: The assembly consists of a welding gun 22 equipped with at least one electrode 24, 26 which is capable of continuous separation within a prescribed range for the purpose of supplying a welding current through a workpiece 28, 30, welding secondary side circuits 36, 24, 26, 32, resistance pressurization control devices 60, 40, 66; and an actuator 50 operably connected to the welding gun 22 for the purpose of moving the electrodes 24, 26 to one of the most of the distance between them within the prescribed range; the actuator 50 being controlled in accordance with a preset reference, which contains a signal generated by the resistance pressurization control devices 60, 40, 66.
