PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To activate a warning device for sounding an alarm, etc., for the safety of cargo hoisting simultaneously with the operation of a crane, in a crane-cum-hydraulic shovel provided with an arm rotatably attached to the front end of a boom which is provided for a machine body in a forward and backward rotatable manner, a bucket for excavation rotatably at the front end thereof, a hook unit for raising a load attached to the bucket. SOLUTION: A hook unit 37 is detachably attached to a bucket 5 between a pair of collapsible links 18, 18 for rotating the bucket 5, and a limit switch 53 for detecting attachment/detachment of the hook unit 37 is provided. Further, a controller is provided with finds, when a signal corresponding to the detachment of the hook unit 37 is input from the limit switch 53, the hoisting position of the hook unit 37 and a rated load and a hoisting load at the hoisting position, based on a boom pressure, a boom operating angle, an arm operating angle, and a constant stored in a memory beforehand. Further, the controller outputs an operating signal to warning means when the hoisting load exceeds the rated lifting load.
