PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen the life span of the bearing and to simplify its manufacture, in the thrust ball bearing supporting a revolving scroll member in a scroll compressor, etc., so as not to rotate on its axis. SOLUTION: A pair of ringed raceway rings 7, 7 with balls 8 intervening between them are manufactured separately from a fixed frame 2 and a revolving scroll member 3, and are attached to the members 2, 3. Annular raceway grooves 11 in which the balls 8 are rolled are formed in the respective raceway rings 7, 7 in plural positions in the circumferential direction. The respective raceway grooves 11 have arc-shaped cross-sections, and the diameter e of a circumferential raceway along the bottom of the groove is nearly equal to the radius E of the revolving motion. The respective balls 8 may be held by a retainer, or the retainer may be omitted. |
