NEW PERFLUORO(PIPERAZINE)-N,N'-DI-ACETYLFLUORIDE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound useful as an intermediate and a raw material for synthesis of various fluorine-containing products, such as surfactants, lubricants and water repellent agents and oil repellent agents. SOLUTION: This perfluoro(piperazine)-N,N'-di-acetylfluoride is expressed by formula I (F is a fluorinated piperazine ring). The compound is obtained by fluorinating 1,4-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine expressed by formula II in liquid hydrogen fluoride through electrolysis wherein the concentration of the above piperazine derivative as a raw material, is in the range of 1-80 wt.% and the reaction is conducted with a current density of 0.01-10 A/dm2 and an electrolysis temperature of -20 to 50 deg.C, for a period of time such that the quantity of electricity is 80-200% of the theoretical quantity of electricity.
