PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for lure, hardly causing a human damage or a material damage by a fishhook and also hardly causing the damage of the body of the lure, even if the lure is carried in a state attached to a fishing rod. SOLUTION: The protector body opening and closing like a bivalve is constituted of a body side body having a thin-size dish shape, and a lid side body having a dish shape like the body side body connected through a hinge part. Engaging parts for keeping the lid side body in a closed state by engaging with each other of the body side body and the lid side body are installed and a pair of hook-constituting parts constituting one hook by overlapping when the lid side body is closed, is installed on the opposite sides of the hinge parts of the body side body and the lid side body.
