PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect fingers of an operator and to prevent a patient from unnecessarily touching a switch for operating a motor-driven brake disposed at the side part of a top plate. SOLUTION: This lying table for radiography is provided with a top plate 2 freely slidable while placing the patient, a side frame material 7 attached to the side edge of the plate 2 in the longitudinal direction of the plate 2, an operation groove 14 formed along the longitudinal direction of the material 7 at the side part of the material 7, a grasping groove 15 formed along the groove 14 on an upper surface near the entrance of the groove 14 into which the grasping fingers of the patient on the plate 2 are inserted, a switch holding groove 16 which is adjacent to the groove 15 of the groove 14 and disposed in a part deeper than the groove 15 by being viewed from the entrance of the groove 14, and a brake operating switch for operating a motor-driven brake disposed at the groove 16.
