PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag in which sewing among edges of each panel can performed by plane-sewing and both upper and lower edges of the surface at the air bag facing the occupant are roundish. SOLUTION: A top side foundation cloth 10 is made to overlap a front side foundation cloth 20, and both foundations cloths 10, 20 are sewed together along a hem A1. A hem C of the foundation cloth 20 is made to overlap a hem C of a bottom foundation cloth 30 and these hems C, C are sewed together along a seam. The foundation cloths 10, 20 are folded at an angle of about 90 deg. along fold lines 15, 25, so that the sewing the foundation cloths 10, 20 is three-dimensional. Then, a hem B1 of the foundation cloth 10 and a hem B2 of the foundation cloth 20 come in a straight line. Then, the hem parts B1, B2 of the foundation cloths 10, 20 are laid on the hem parts B1, B2 of the foundation cloth 30 and sewed together.
