PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically cover a planted area with soil without damaging buds in interlocking a planting operation with planted bulbs, etc. SOLUTION: A right and a left traveling bodies 8 moving together with a movable truck 5 placed on rails 3 laid in parallel on the right and left of a planted area 2 of soil are placed on the rails 3. A horizontal lever 10 connecting struts stood on the traveling bodies 8 is installed so as to stride the planted area 2. The tops of a fixed number of soil covering levers 13 are fitted to the horizontal lever 10. Soil covering plates 12 are fixed to the bottoms of the soil covering levers. The soil covering levers 13 are slantingly installed so as to project their lower parts toward the advance direction in planting.
