METHOD AND DEVICE OF CODING/DECODING PROGRESSIVE THREE-DIMENSION MESH INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A progressive three-dimension mesh information coding/decoding method is provided to enable a partial division and a partial reconstruction by reconstructing a model so as to be processed partially. CONSTITUTION: The progressive three-dimension mesh information coding method comprises the steps of: reconstructing an inputted three-dimension mesh into a plurality of partial meshes; coding the partial meshes of the plurality, respectively; and unifying the partial meshes thus coded in a compressed bit stream to transmit the unified meshes. The progressive three-dimension mesh information decoding method comprises the steps of: dividing the transmitted bit stream into a plurality of partial coded meshes; decoding the partial coded meshes, respectively; and synthesizing the partial decoded meshes of the plurality to reconstruct a three-dimension mesh.
