<p>A needlework stretching and alignment apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is a base (1) with a frame (2) hinged to it along one side. A plurality of toothed plates (5) each attached to one of a plurality of ligatures (4) each of which passes through one of a plurality of clamps in the frame provide means to grip and pull the workpiece square. Each clamp holds a ligature firmly after tension has been applied to the workpiece by pulling the ligature. Squareness is achieved by visual alignment of the workpiece weave with adjustable reference lines (11) incorporated on the frame.</p> |
