The present specification describes a cutting apparatus comprising at least one fixed cutting blade (1) having a cutting edge which extends generally radially from an axis of rotation (4), and at least one movable blade (3) which is mounted to be rotatable about the axis of rotation (4), said at least one movable blade (3) and/or said at least one fixed cutting blade (1), having an arcuate cutting edge which extends outwardly from the axis of rotation (4) and which is concave in the direction of the other of said blades.
