<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a toner excellent in triboelectric chargeability, transfer efficiency, etc., with good reproducibility on particle size distribution and physical properties. SOLUTION: An aq. medium contg. calcium phosphates obtd. by mixing an aq. phosphate soln. with an aq. calcium salt soln. is adjusted to pH 4.0-6.0, a polymerizable monomer compsn. is dispersed in the aq. medium and the polymerizable monomer contained in the resultant particles is polymerized to form toner particles. The aq. medium is then adjusted to pH 1.0-3.0, the calcium phosphates are dissolved and the toner particles are separated to obtain the objective toner having a circularity of 0.970 to <1.000 measured with a flow type particle image analyzer(FPIA).</p> |
