PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half fitting preventive connector capable of preventing partial deformation and damage of a housing in fitting, capable of preventing a malfunction by an unexpected colliding object and excellent in reliability and durability. SOLUTION: This half fitting preventive connector 1 is composed of a first connector 2 and a second connector 3. The first connector 2 has an engaging groove 7 and a locking protrusion 8 in the tip part. The second connector 3 is composed of a housing body 4 having a flexible lock arm 10 having the lock part 9 for engaging with the engaging groove 7 in the tip part and a slider 5 being movably housed in the housing body 4 and having on the tip of a cantilever arm 12 the abutting part 11 abutting to the locking protrusion 8 in the front end part be being elastically biased in the shaft direction. Both abutting surfaces of the abutting part 11 of the slider 5 and the locking protrusion 8 of the first connector 2 are molded in a circular arc surface shape with a deflective fulcrum C of the cantilever arm 12 as the center.
