PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect air quality in prompt response to an abrupt change in an ambient environment of a remote controller by using a remote controller having an air quality sensor for sensing the air quality and a fan for guiding air in a vicinity of the remote controller to the air quality sensor. SOLUTION: A remote controller 1 is provided with a operation section for commanding an operation to an air conditioner main body, and has an air quality sensor 17 for sensing air quality surrounding it, and is provided with a suction opening 14 and an exhaust opening 15 respectively in specified positions of a top face and a front face. A ventilation passage 16 from the suction opening to the exhaust opening 15 is provided, and the air quality sensor 17 and a fan 18 are provided in the passage 16. A fixing partition plate 10 locates and fixes the air quality sensor 17 and the fan 18 in the passage. As the air quality sensor 17, a dust sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor and the like are cited as examples, and a selection is made according to an air treatment in an air conditioner main body 2. |
