PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely control slide quantity of a slide member by axially rotating and moving a runner by the rotation of a rod with lead screw to move a holder integrated to the slide member together with the runner. SOLUTION: A slide member 4 is fixed to a holder 3, and the slide member 4 is moved in the axial direction of a rod 1. The slide member 4 shows a workpiece cutting tool, and the slide member 4 is longitudinally moved by the rotation of the rod 1 to cut a metal body by a blade body 41 provided at the tip thereof. According to this, a slide device extremely simplified in structure and hardly causing a failure can be provided. The moving quantity of the slide member 4 can be regulated by properly selecting the length, outer diameter or the like of the rod 1. Further, since the lead screw is used, the moving speed is constant and the moving quantity can be precisely controlled.
