PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain effective announcement for information whose priority is high by announcing announcement singing at the time of calling and reception in a tone different from that of normal calling singing at the time of detecting overlapped calling. SOLUTION: When a radio receiver 1 receives a message, a processor 105 compares and collates the received message with each information of an already received message stored in a message memory 108. When the processor 105 detects that the same message is present, announcement setting data stored in an EEPROM 104 are transmitted to a processor 105. The processor 105 urges the output of singing announcement to an announcing part 12 so that singing for indicating that the calling is present can be issued from a speaker 110, and the processor 105 outputs the received message and an icon for indicating that the overlapped calling is detected through an LCD driver 113 to a color LCD 114 so that visual announcement can be attained. After the announcement is confirmed, a key inputting part 14 is depressed for allowing the processor 105 to stop the overlapped announcement.
