PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eject an article to an article takeout port in a short time and to make it possible to produce it at low costs by an ejecting member which is freely opened and closed being driven by a driving mechanism at the ejecting of the article, being released, falling the article and ejecting it to the article takeout port. SOLUTION: This device is an article ejecting device for an automatic vending machine for storing merchandise paid out from an article rack when sold and ejecting it to an article takeout port. The device is equipped with a storage part 56 for storing the article, a driving mechanism and an ejecting member 67 for composing a lower part of the storage part 65. The ejecting member 67 falls the article and ejects it to the article takeout port by being driven by the driving mechanism and being released at the ejecting of the article. Since the ejecting member 67 for composing the lower part of the storage part 65 is released by the driving mechanism and the article in the storage part 65 is fallen and ejected to the article takeout port by this constitution, it is possible to eject the article in a shorter time in comparison with the case in which the article is ejected by using a conventional conveyor.
