PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which has a high grade recognizing characteristic able to tracking and detecting even if a target position moves in a broad space region, which is profitable in manufacturing cost due to a simple structure. SOLUTION: A convex emission plane 3 of heptahedron is formed on a flexible substrate 1, and light emitting diode chips 5a-5g emitting infrared rays in the different directions respectively are attached to each surface of the heptahedron. And, a drive control circuit 2 controlling light emitting operation of light emitting diode chips 5a-5g is formed on the flexible substrate 1, the light emitting device emits infrared rays having intensity in accordance with the number of light emitting diode chips 5a-5g to an emission space corresponding to a form of the emitting planes 3, and performs light emission having a wide emitting angle and a high grade recognizing characteristic and by which a target can be detected in a wide space. The above light emitting device is simple in structure and low in manufacturing cost. This light emitting device is attached to the prescribed part of a patient for whom a rehabilitation test is performed, movement of the prescribed part accompanied by body movement by indication of a doctor is tracked and photographed by a CCD camera, movement locus is detected, and a quantitative test of restoration grade of a patient can be performed.
