PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material excellent in hydrophilicity, and further to provide a producing method. SOLUTION: This method for producing a material of an organic compound excellent in hydrophilicity can change and improve the hydrophilicity or the color of the organic compound by ozone treatment. Optionally, the organic compound in the method is an organic pigment, a plastic material, and an organic nonwoven fabric. The material excellent in hydrophilicity, obtained by the producing method is also provided.
