ELECTRONIC VEHICLE CONTROLLER HAVING DATA BUS CAPABILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a protocol for data exchange to/from another controller through a proper data bus in a subsequent development process of a controller or after the development is finished inexpensively in an electronic vehicle controller. SOLUTION: This electronic vehicle controller 1 has a processor device 3 and a communication final stage 4 connecting the controller 1 to a data bus 2. A controllable data protocol device 5 connected between the processor device 3 and the communication final stage 4 is provided and variably defines a data protocol to be utilized for respective data transfer in accordance with a protocol control signal to be supplied to an inputting side. The data protocol device 5 can be realized with hardware or software and enables flexible data protocol selection even after controller development is finished.
