PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the workload of an image processor, and to improve through-put by detecting horizontal input start point and end point in a horizontal scanning period, detecting the end of horizontal scanning, counting the number of times of end, detecting a vertical scanning position, and detecting input start and end point in a vertical scanning period. SOLUTION: A first horizontal detecting means H1, second horizontal detecting means H2, third horizontal detecting means H3, first vertical detecting means V1, and second vertical detecting means V2 are respectively constituted of a register RG and a comparator CP. The register RG constituting the first horizontal detecting means H1 stores a horizontal start point Hst of an image area to be segmented. The register RG constituting the second horizontal detecting means H2 stores a horizontal input end point Hsp, and the register RG constituting the third horizontal detecting means H3 stores the whole number of pixels H. In the same way, the first and second vertical detecting means V1 and V2 are allowed to operate supply and storage, and each count value is outputted. |
