PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the plotting system which can generate a cover automatically from a development drawing and can facilitate alteration of the cover. SOLUTION: The drawing name, sheet number, page, etc., of a development drawing are extracted (S2) from a data base storing respective development drawings, and pages are edited (S3) by drawing names as to the extracted information; and the edited development drawing information is transferred onto a standard cover drawing on a screen to generate a cover (S4) and the generated cover drawing is prepared (S5) by a plotter, etc.
