摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a four wheel drive vehicle, which can obtain a sufficient uphill road running capacity, and concurrently, can avoid the use of unnecessary aiding drive. SOLUTION: Since the output of a MG 28 is controlled by a motor driving control means (secondary prime mover control means) 70 based on such a vehicle speed condition as the driving force of the secondary prime mover (MG) 28 is reduced by a traction control means 60, a sufficient uphill road running capacity can be obtained, and the use of unnecessary aiding drive can be avoided. Namely, regardless of the rotating speed of each front wheel 20 being in a range of a specified width of change with respect to the rotating speed of each rear wheel 34, for example, unless a vehicle speed V is enough to be in a condition (V>=Vx2) capable of running ahead, the output torque of the MG 28 can be maintained so as to allow sufficient driving force to be obtained when a vehicle runs over an uphill road having a low μ, and meanwhile, when the vehicle speed V is in a condition capable of running ahead, the output torque of the MG 28 can be lowered, the use of unnecessary aiding drive is avoided, and energy can thereby be prevented from being fruitlessly consumed.
