PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and simply execute firing by directly applying gas burner flame to a compacted body. SOLUTION: The surface of a tray-shaped heat insulating refractory 3 placed on a table 4 is mounted with a noble metal clay compacted body 1, and, the noble metal clay compacted body 1 is directly applied with gas burner flame 2 from the above, by which firing is executed. At this time, as the pan-shaped heat insulating refractory 3, a sheet, a tray or a vessel made of ceramics can be used. Moreover, As the gas burner, a handy type gas burner obtd. by fitting a burner nozzle to a portable gas bomb is used, by which the gas burner flame 2 is easily generated, and the noble metal clay compacted body 1 can easily be fired. Furthermore, the gas burner flame 2 can be applied while the position to be applied is easily deviated, so that the whole can uniformly be fired. In the case the compacted body is thin, preferably, the burner flame is applied in such a manner that the compacted body is shallowly buried into the ceramic powder.
