FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for finishing abrasive working of machine parts. Part is fed longitudinally. Working is performed with the aid of tool which represents stack of discs secured rigidly to one another and positioned on mandrel at an angle to axis of rotation. Discs are made of sandpaper and impregnated with phenol-formaldehyde lacquer. Discs-inserts are manufactured of felt with lubricating medium placed in it. Alternating sandpaper and felt discs are mounted on mandrel. They satisfy condition of successive decrease in disc abrasive granularity and lubricating medium viscosity in inserts.
