Abstract Boiler for Pulverised Coal A boiler for a coal burner, for use with coals with a high moisture content and in particular with lignite, where the coal depot is connected with one or several arrangements for size reduction, with one or several coal dryers and with one or several coal mills, the latter often being connected on top of each other and, via coal convection piping systems, with the steam generating boiler houses, where the dry coal and drying steam supply side of the coal dryer is connected via a piping system with the suction side of the air swept mills, which in turn are connected with a piping system with the tube which supplies hot air for the air preheater or with the tube which drives the flue gases to the steam boil, whereas the outlet of the mills are connected with the pulverised coal burners located at the combustion chamber of the boiler house. In this manner, the combustion of the high moisture coal is performed with low Nox generation, and the advantages of the pre-drying of the fuel are maintained. .. |
