The primary reformed gas from the catalyst pipes is used as drive gas for a gas flow pump. A small part (5) of the hot synthesis gas (11) is moved by the drive gas and then mixed by the drive gas. The resulting gas mixture consisting of primary reformed gas and the small part of the hot synthesis gas is fed to the secondary reformer. Synthesis gas comprising a gas mixture containing a hydrocarbon, and steam and/or carbon dioxide is produced by reforming a reaction mixture made of steam and/or carbon dioxide and the gas mixture in a primary reformer and then secondary reforming to form a hot synthesis gas. The primary reformed gas from the catalyst pipes is used as drive gas for a gas flow pump. A small part of the hot synthesis gas is moved by the drive gas and then mixed by the drive gas. The resulting gas mixture consisting of primary reformed gas and the small part of the hot synthesis gas is fed to the secondary reformer. An Independent claim is also included for a primary reformer (2) comprising parallel catalyst tubes (4) containing catalyst particles (3). The catalyst tubes are fixed so that they can move axially. |
