PURPOSE: A device for processing a partly-zoomed function is provided to decide the size of the region, location, magnification by a user's demand. CONSTITUTION: A device for processing a partly-zoomed function using variable windows in a camcorder comprises: a field memory(32) for storing an image signal having a field unit, outputted from an external solid camera element; a horizontal/vertical interpolating section(34) for performing an interpolation to a horizontal/vertical direction, by corresponding a luminance signal of the image signal outputted from the field memory or a color-difference signal to the zoom magnification of the predetermined number, and for outputting the result; a window decision section(38) for setting variable windows of the different size having a predetermined starting point and an ending point, to perform a partly-zoom function corresponding to the zoom magnification, and for outputting a window decision signal corresponding to the set windows; a multiplexer(36) for inputting the window decision signal as a select signal, and for selectively outputting the stored signal from of field memory or the interpolated signal, by answering for the select signal.
