PURPOSE:To maintain a high seal quality over a long period of time by composing a seal material to be furnished between a fluid pressure cylinder housing and rod, of an annular seal member consisting of a rubberlike elastic body and a synthetic resin seal member whose section is rectangular and which is to be arranged on its inner periphery side. CONSTITUTION:This seal member 10 to be furnished between a fluid pressure cylinder housing 1 and rod 2 possesses a first annular seal member 13 which consists of a rubberlike elastic body and possesses integrally a seal member main body 11 whose section is approximately rectangular and a lip seal portion 12 that is extendingly on the inner periphery side of the main body 11 and contacts slidably the surface of a rod 2. On the inner periphery side of this main body 11 which is on the inward side of the cylinder 1, a second annular seal member 15 whose section is approximately rectangular and which has a surface butting against the rod 2 surface and consists of synthetic resin, preferably polytetrafluoroethylene, is provided. Also, a metal reinforcement ring 17 whose outer periphery surface butts against the housing 1 is provided on the outer periphery side of the first seal member 13. |
