PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable controlling copy effectively in data transmission through a digital interface. SOLUTION: Copy generation control information is detected by a copy flag detecting circuit 28 of a device. This copy generation control information is inserted into a CIP header of an IEEE1394 and transmitted. A copy flag detector 42 of 13941/F41 of a device detects copy generation control information. A copy generation control circuit 44 records new copy generation control information based on this detected result, and a recording control circuit 19 performs permission or exhibition of recording. Thereby, a decoding circuit is not required in a receiving side device. |
