Detection method for CDMA coded signals involves iterative detection process, repeating steps until an adequate solution quality is achieved

The method involves determining a first detection solution for the CDMA coded signals. There is a subsequent determination of an (n+1)th detection solution dhat(n+1) for n=1,...,N as a function of the nth detection solution using d(n+1) = f(hatd +(n)), where the iteration for n to infinity is convergent with respect to the multi-user solution. If the quality of the approximate solution is not adequate, assigning n to n+1 and iterating the process with the second step; and if the quality of the solution is adequate, terminating the process and using dhat(n+1) as the estimate of the data to be detected. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing the method.
