PURPOSE: A method for selecting a voice message service is provided, so that a sender can selects an option for converting to a VMS(Voice Message Service), when a receiver set the VMS in a PCS(Personal Communication System) exchange. CONSTITUTION: A method for selecting a voice message service(VMS) comprises the steps of: a sender demanding a process of a PCS(Personal Communication System) by inputting a receiver's telephone number; a PCC(PCS call control) block of the sender's exchange demanding number translation to NTR(Number Translation), and receiving an answer; the PCC demanding the corresponding receiver's location information to a HLR(Home Location Register), and routing to a PCS exchange, to which the receiver is connected according to the answer; selecting an option for converting to the VMS, by connecting a guide broadcasting block to the sender, when a state of the receiver receives a converted answer of the VMS; providing the VMS service by connecting the sender and the VMS, when the sender selects conversion toward the VMS; processing a call end procedure when the sender does not select the conversion toward the VMS. |
