PURPOSE: An optical recording media is provided to prevent degradation of the media by forming a sulphuric acid barrier film between a dielectric film and a recording layer. CONSTITUTION: The media has a dielectric film, a recording layer, and a reflection layer on a substrate. A sulphuric acid barrier film is formed between the recording layer and the dielectric film. The sulphuric acid barrier film is made of one selected from a group consisting of silicon compound and chrome compound. The silicon compound is SiO2 and the chrome compound is Cr2O3. A thickness of the sulphuric acid barrier film is 30 to 100 angstrom. |
