PURPOSE: A back light assembly of a liquid crystal display is provided to prevent transformation of a light guide plate and sheets by externally radiating heat generated from a lamp assembly and degradation of image quality of a liquid crystal display module. CONSTITUTION: The assembly comprises a mold frame, a bottom chassis, a source printed circuit board, a gate printed circuit board, and a top chassis. A lamp assembly, a reflection plate, a light guide plate, an optical sheet, and a liquid crystal display panel are sequentially stacked on the mold frame. A first mounting section is formed on reciprocally corresponding sides of the mold frame. The bottom chassis supports the lamp assembly, the reflection plate, the light guide plate, and the optical sheet. A second mounting section corresponding to the first mounting section is mounted upon the top chassis. A heat radiator is formed on a sidewall corresponding to the gate printed circuit board and a sidewall upon which the lamp assembly is installed.
