PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel using a radio frequency is provided, which can decrease a radio frequency voltage value using a radio frequency discharge. CONSTITUTION: The method for driving a plasma display panel using a radio frequency comprises the step of: providing a radio frequency pulse which has an opposed phase each other to a scanning electrode (40) and a maintain electrode (42) to occur a radio frequency discharge, wherein a lighting discharge is occurred by the radio frequency pulse provided to the scanning electrode (40) and a data pulse provided to an address electrode and a voltage except for the range of the radio frequency voltage is provided to the scanning electrode (40) to remove the radio frequency discharge. Thereby, it is possible to greatly increase the discharge effect and greatly decrease the consumption power. |
