CHIP PTC THERMISTOR AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive temperature coefficient(PTC) thermistor chip, capable of surface mounting and superior in long-term connection reliability of an internal electrode and a side electrode. SOLUTION: A PTC thermistor chip comprises an odd number of inner-layer primary electrodes 15a and an odd number inner-layer secondary electrodes 15b, the primary electrodes 15a located inside a conductive polymer 11 and provided in parallel with a first primary electrode 12a and a second primary electrode 12c. The secondary electrodes 15b are provided independently on the same surface as the inner-layer electrodes 15a, and the inner-layer primary electrodes 15a and the inner-layer secondary electrodes 15b are formed to be inclined downward in the vicinity of connections with a first and a second side electrodes 13a and 13b.
