PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas range that can exert a firing preventing effect reliably even in the case where consecutive baking is conducted. SOLUTION: When an ignition button 1 turns ON, a burnable time corresponding to an output of an extinction time measuring means for measuring the preceding time for extinction is set for an opening-closing valve control means by a burning time setting means 2. A burning time measuring means 5 measures a burning time during which an opening-closing valve 6 is opened. The opening- closing valve control means 4 issues a signal to close the opening-closing valve 6 at the time when the burning time measured by the burning time measuring means 5 reaches the burnable time. Since the burnable time is determined corresponding to the preceding time for extinction, the burnable time becomes short in the case when consecutive baking is conducted, and the possibility of firing of a matter to be cooked is eliminated.
