ADD/DROP DEVICE FOR WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXED OPTICAL SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an add/drop device for wavelength multiplexed optical signal. SOLUTION: This device is provided with processing circuits respectively capable of dropping an optical signal included in one of the channels of an inputted light multiplex signal and adding the optical signal into a channel capable of using a multiplexed signal. Each processing circuit is provided with an optical filter 3 for dropping a signal for the individual channel of a specific wavelength an optical filter 5 for adding the signal and the filters are connected by an optical switching switch 4. The dropping filter and the adding filter of the circuit of the device are connected in serial to be arranged for transmitting the multiplexed signal from one filter to the other and from a drop assembly to an add assembly. The filters are arranged according to a wavelength for dropping or adding in the reducing order of the wavelength form the input I of the device passing when the inputted multiplexed signal is received.
