PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rational arrangement structure for constituent elements mounted to a substrate of an inverter. SOLUTION: In this luminaire, a high-frequency oscillating inverter 2 is set on the under surface of a metal body 1, and the under surface of the inverter 2 is covered with a metallic reflector 3, then fluorescent lamps 4 arranged on the under surface of the body 1 are lighted by the inverter 2. Here, constituent elements such as a power semiconductor element 7, an electrolytic capacitor 8 and a coil 9, etc., substantially except for a miniature bulb socket 6 are mounted on the upper surface of a substrate 5 of the inverter 2. Here, a miniature bulb socket 6 is arranged on the under surface of a board 5, and a hole 11 which a miniature bulb 10 loaded in the miniature bulb socket 6 passes through is formed in the reflector 3.
