<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information processor which can reduce the power consumption when application is in a waiting state for input from a user without spoiling the operability. SOLUTION: A coordinate input device 109 can be connected to the information processor 100, which has a CPU 101 inside and acts with a battery 112 as its power source. The clock supplied to the CPU 101 is generated by a CPU clock generator 102. The frequency of this clock can be varied by a CPU clock varying unit 110 with an indication from the CPU 101. The CPU 101 operates the CPU clock varying unit 110 when the application program is waiting for input from the coordinate input device 109 to lower the clock frequency, thus reducing the power consumption.</p> |
