摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow control device capable of reducing generation of water passing noise and capable of reducing generation of partial cavitation even if the flow of fluid is perpendicularly changed just before the position to perform flow control. SOLUTION: In a flow control device, a first chamber R1 and a second chamber R2 are horizontally communicated with each other through a passage opening 23 provided on a partition wall 22, an inflow connecting passage 24 connected from the direction perpendicular to the passage direction to the second chamber R2 is provided on the first chamber R1, a clearance adjusting valve element 26 capable of freely adjusting its advancing and retracting positions and an outflow connecting passage 25 are provided on the second chamber R2, and fluid guided from the inflow connecting passage 24 to the first chamber R1 changes its direction at 90 deg. and enters the second chamber R2 from the passage opening 23 through an annular clearance S to the clearance adjusting valve element 26. The flow of fluid to be introduced from the inflow connecting passage 24 to the first chamber R1 is constituted into the swirling flow flowing in one direction toward the passage opening 23 in the first chamber R1.
