PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process unit having good productivity by means of simple and compact constitution and allowing a developing roller to be pressed against a photosensitive drum with a small force and allowing a nip width formed therebetween to be held constant. SOLUTION: A second side plate 15 integrally rotatably supporting a developing roller and a supply roller 12 is slidably provided in a recess part 20 formed in a first side plate 16 and is slid by a spring means 17 in the direction to press a photosensitive drum 2. This action causes the developing roller to be pressed against the photosensitive drum 2 with a small pressing force, thus forming a constant nip width and developing an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum. |
