PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up positioning control by making it possible to measure the detection delay time between an actual value of the number of pulses for positioning and a detected value and then compensating the detection delay. SOLUTION: A positioning control system consists of a positioning device and a speed control system in combination and has a feedback control system which has the detection delay between the actual value for positioning and the detected value. This system is equipped with a means 41 which finds the deviation of the detected value from a command value for positioning, a differentiating means 42 which finds the variation rate of the deviation, and a hysteresis comparator 43 and a counter 44 which measure the time up to the inversion of the polarity of the variation rate and measure the detection delay time between the actual value and detected value. Further, a shift register is provided which delays the command value by using the detection delay time.
