<p>The invention concerns a device for monitoring the proper functioning of a data exchange protocol on a cable telephone network, between at least two data transmission and reception stations (12), comprising a protocol analyser (26) connected to at least one of the stations (12). Since the latter is provided with an integrated modulator-demodulator, the device further comprises a data conversion unit (28) of a first format, whereby the data are transported to the network, and of a second format whereby the data are adapted to be processed by the protocol analyser (26), the conversion unit (28) being connected between the protocol analyser (26) and the modulator-demodulator of the station whereto the analyser is connected.</p> |
