<p>A display comprising a display section (11) having light-emitting elements (11a) mounted on a substrate to form a display region of a predetermined shape, a drive section (12) for causing the light-emitting elements to emit light, a control section (13) for controlling the drive section, a power supply section (16) for supplying power to the drive and control sections, and a switch section (17) for turning on/off the supply of power from the power supply section (16) to the drive and control sections according to an operation command, characterized in that the display section has a semitranslucent cover (11c) covering the display region of the display section, the luminance of the display region gradually increases from one side to the other of the display region since the luminances of the light-emitting elements are stronger from the one side to the other or the densities of the light-emitting elements are higher from the one side to the other, and the control section controls the drive section so that the light-emitting elements from one side of the display region to the other in order emit light at predetermined time intervals repetitively.</p> |
