<p>An antenna mirror surface measuring/adjusting device comprises a plane mirror larger than the aperture of the main reflecting mirror and parallel to the aperture, an actuator for driving mirror panels of the main reflecting mirror, and a received electric field calculating unit for measuring the radio wave emitted from a transmitter/receiver and reflected and returning from the plane mirror every time the mirror panels are changed in position from their initial positions, determining the aperture surface phase distribution of the initial state of the main reflecting mirror by processing the signal generated by the measurement, finding the shape of the mirror surface from the aperture surface phase distribution, and adjusting the mirror surface according to the shape of the mirror surface by means of the actuator. Hence, a measurement frequency is arbitrarily selected, and the measurement can be carried out in an ideal environment irrespective of wind, insolation, and air temperature, enabling high-precision mirror surface adjustment.</p> |
